Jedi Outcast Realistic Saber Combat

Good in basically every aspect: although the difficulty curve is rather weird (first proper level with the light saber is pretty bad), the game gives you an awesome arsenal of powers and weapons to use. The game changes drastically from beginning to end with the use of light sabers and force powers, which is really neat. The sims 3 full download. The storm trooper/grunt AI has some janky aspects and the stealth section is kind of annoying but overall the game is good. I originally gave it a 4.5 out of 5 but there are many little problems with it so I think it's a 4/5.

Personally, I feel this is the quintessential Star Wars game. The FPS is well executed, the lightsaber combat has no equal in any other Star Wars game, the Force powers are extremely fun to play with, and the levels are (for the most part) well designed and evocative of the Star Wars universe. My only tiny complaint is that you can't customize Kyle's Force power selection in any way, like you could in the previous game and expansion; I understand why they did it this way - like Deus Ex, your skill/Force power selection would dictate what you could reach (especially how much you invested in Force Jump).

This complaint was remedied in the next game, Jedi Academy. The multiplayer is truly magnificent - you CAN customize you character here, and adding extra skins and levels was as simple as just putting them in the data folder. Lightsaber combat between humans is fast and frantic, and no other multiplayer comes close to the fun I had with this back in 2002!Superb game - the best of the Star Wars video game universe, bar none! (Well, maybe the original arcade game!). The first 5 levels are a poorly designed FPS and then you start accumulating 'Force Powers' which make the game much more playable and it picks up pace and enjoyment.

The problem is the level design throughout.it's a mess and ridiculously hidden passages and unconnected doors that you are given no instruction for really let the game down and without a 'walkthrough' guide you can spend hours looking at the pixelated, blocky graphics trying to find a hidden switch or exit. It's this element that really lets the game down. However, it is an excellent Jedi simulator with a variety of ways to defeat enemies using Jedi Powers. If you can trudge through the irritating first half of the game the rest is quite fun.You simply cannot play this game without a walkthrough though and that detracts from it. Nar Shaddaa levels were downright infuriating, but other than that it's probably one of the best Star Wars games out there, and definately the best game Raven Soft.

Ever made - level design rocks! It captures that classic Star Wars feeling perfectly and story is very solid, even though the main villain looks kind of stupid. Also, lightsaber combat feels as good as ever, they should make another game with it, instead of aping god of war. At first it may seem like total chaos, but when you get a hang of it it truly makes for some spectacular and unpredictable fights with many awesome moments. Even now, after all these years I was cheering whenever I managed to do decapitate my rival while doing sommersault in the air, while the camera was rotating around the action in slow-mo to show off my sweet moves. Thank Raven for taking this series over, you know, while they were still their own company. Jedi Outcast was an addiction for me for well over a year, with me modding the fudge out of this game and setting up my own epic battles between hundreds of Jedi and Sith every weekend, with hours spent enjoying realistic saber gore.

The saber combat was amazing coming off the story-focused prequel, and made the multiplayer an addictive addition (which I totally dominated for months!) to a single-player campaign on the level of the best EU material. While the level design often remains noticeably, remarkably Jedi Knight quality (read: confusing and maze-like), especially early on before you're able to kick total patoot and forget about level confusion. Also, Katarn, Our Hero, has a beard, and he fights a Dramatic Reptile. Game of the Goddamned Year.
