Comment by Xaleaon 2018-08-08T21:58:21-05:00Destroying addons that help individual players find others to group with. In an online MMO. Do they have any idea how much this frustrates players and frankly, makes them look ridiculous? They think this will make people play longer, take longer to complete WQs and stuff. In reality, those BfA WQs barely even present enough reward for doing them, and secondly if people get bored with the grind they're simply going to log off.

Exactly how does pushing the customer away from the game increase time played?Comment by Zayedxon 2018-08-08T21:58:31-05:00Why would they nerf group finder addons.Comment by munga23on 2018-08-08T21:59:18-05:00Removal of auto-accept functionality of the group finder intentional? I will 100% unsub if this change is permanent.Comment by Buzzrickon 2018-08-08T22:01:06-05:00I wonder if it is a performance nerf?

With so many users addons calling the same search API on such a regular basis, maybe it's causing a lot of stress on their servers. I dunno, just a theory. They've done similar nerfs in the past for the same reason.Comment by darquison 2018-08-08T22:01:10-05:00Seems in line with 'make everything take longer' and 'make people do stuff more frequently for the same result' that Blizzard seems to be pushing latelyComment by Cuddlebunzon 2018-08-08T22:01:20-05:00So the nerf is to just disable/remove auto accept altogether I guess? Hopefully it gets added back into the game in the future.Comment by wonkeyon 2018-08-08T22:02:42-05:00yeah to be honest. Breaking the world quest group finder seems completely Anal to me., Its probably the worst addon change blizzard have done, and I can remember when they blocked decursive macros back in molten core. Whoever made the call, needs to be sent to the pit of misery.Comment by ossiferdownon 2018-08-08T22:05:27-05:00Removal of auto-accept functionality of the group finder intentional?

Do they have any idea how much this frustrates players and frankly, makes them look ridiculous? If you played beta they basically rolled in this type of functionality into the default game now. When questing out in the world, you can click an icon near the Objectives frame and it'll auto-search groups for that quest but it won't automatically create and invite members to a group.Basically it doesn't make it any harder to do it, it doesn't 'remove' any functionality. They just don't want you automating the process of making and requesting to join a group.EDIT: Blizzard has always tried to avoid 'automation' in this game, they want you to be the one actually clicking the buttons.Comment by Flippinouton 2018-08-08T22:08:58-05:00Blizz if I wanted grouping up to take longer I would unsub and do Classic. I don't give a damn about 'experiencing the content' after I've experienced it a thousand times already. This is BS and your playerbase is pissed about it.Comment by Castrumon 2018-08-08T22:15:13-05:00Destroying the ability to use WQGF is up there with 'No more flying ever.'

Blizzard doesn't go out of their way to break addons for no reason.rIf they just wanted to force people to do things the hard, slow way they'd break addons like Handynotes or DBM.rrAll of these complaints that Blizzard is doing it to police fun or force things to take longer are ridiculous.rrI loved these addons, and used them extensively.

I've largely stopped doing Argus WQ's and Invasion Points since the change.rrBut accusing Blizzard of breaking them just to make things more difficult for the player base is absurd.Comment by MobinSamuroon 2018-08-08T22:18:31-05:00I object to this change, and as a customer demand to see more evidence to WHY and HOW it caused problems.Comment by Wynterarwynon 2018-08-08T22:20:20-05:00I don't understand why they can't just roll the WQGF addon into the game. Make it a toggle option so you can opt into grouping automatically when entering a WQ type area.Comment by Guegueon 2018-08-08T22:20:24-05:00Removal of auto-accept functionality of the group finder intentional?
